Overview
Franklin Quest Education and Leadership Foundation, Inc. strive to be the leading Entrepreneurship, Etiquette and ABE/GED transition program in the world. As an educational foundation, it seeks to achieve the highest levels of distinction in the transmission of knowledge and understanding, and in the education of working adults. FQELF emphasises continued education through corportate managers and executives implementation of the learning organization. We are among few programs that offers transitional education through consulting and career development.
The Foundation provides its clients with academic, extracurricular and other resources- in a residential and online community committed to diversity in its client base, faculty and staff- that help them achieve at the highest scholarly levels and prepare them for lives of service in many fields of human endeavor.
History
FQELF, Inc. started with an idea in 2002 to develop continued education programs in various communities. Today, FQELF, Inc. enjoys its root in ABE/GED and Entrepreneurship training by exam. Franklin Quest Education and Leadership Foundation, Inc. is currently revamping all programs to meet the needs of working adults.
Franklin Quest Education and Leadership Foundation, Inc. stems from a distinctive beginning and is growing into a community of learning that continues to evolve, providing abundant opportunities to talented students from around the world. In 2001, 63% of students enrolled passed the GED examination. In 2002, 82% of the students enrolled passed the GED examination, and in 2007-2009 we were able to award scholarships to 4 graduates who were accepted to local colleges/universities.
Today, leaders in their respective disciplines, instruct Franklin Quest Education and Leadership Foundation, Inc. students.
Governance
Franklin Quest Education and Leadership Foundation, Inc. is led by founder Tyra Jones-Franklin. She has been in the education field for 12 years and teaches business classes part-time at Lonestar College. Mrs. Franklin is also in the process of writing her first book titled "Approaches to Continued Growth and Educational Development." The Trustees of Franklin Quest Education and Leadership Foundation, Inc., a 7-member board, is responsible for the overall direction of the foundation. It approves the operating and capital budgets, supervises the investment of the Foundation and oversees real estate and long-range physical planning.
The trustees also exercise prior review and approval concerning changes in major policies, such as those in instructional programs and admission as well as course fees and the hiring of faculty members.
